5th Grade Chapel
On Friday, my 5th graders led the elementary chapel service, and it went extremely well! The theme was "Trust and Obey", and the kids were in charge of the entire thing: singing, prayer, a two-part skit on the life of faith that Abraham lived, a pantomime of "I'd Rather Have Jesus" (including two verses that the kids wrote), and a small sermon. For one girl it was her first time playing the piano in front of such a large group, and she played "All in All" beautifully! For another student it was her first time ever speaking in front of a group. This was her first step toward her goal of learning how to preach; she wants to be a missionary to Africa someday!
I was so proud of my students to see them work together so well over the past two and a half weeks of preparation. God gets all the glory! Check out the pictures below!
